THE CATHOLICOS OF ALL ARMENIANS HOPES THE RESOLUTION OF THE KARABAKH CONFLICT WILL BE ACHIEVED IN THE NEAR FUTURE

Speaking on August 29 at the "Millennium World Peace Conference of Religious and Spiritual Leaders" Garegin II, the Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians said that "Armenians, who are struggling for a free and independent life in Nagorno-Karabakh, understand well the importance of mutual respect for the rights of individuals and nations".
As was reported to MEDIAMAX in the Diocese of the Armenian Church of America, the Supreme Patriarch said that he hopes that the resolution of the Karabakh conflict will be achieved in the near future. "This will provide another example that resolution and reconciliation can occur in even the most difficult of conflicts", said Garegin II. -0-
