Matenadaran-based educational center to open soon

Matenadaran, the Museum of Ancient Manuscripts, is interested in recruitment of your specialists, according to museum director.

As Hrachya Tamrazyan told a news conference in Yerevan, “over 100 young experts were taken on to work at newly-formed scientific and technical departments.” “With a number of archive funds and newly-acquired manuscripts in need of restoration, the museum could greatly benefit from expert restorers,” he said.

As the project manager of Yerevan-hosted international seminar on technologies for preservation and restoration of manuscripts Ara Khzmalyan noted, opening of Matenadaran-based educational center for future experts is planned.

Citing foreign specialists, Khzmalyan noted the museum's restoration department to be in full correspondence with international standards.

Over the last 2 years, Matenadaran purchased 10000 archive documents.
