Armenian railways should meet international standards – PM

Armenia should make efforts to develop the rail transport, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan said.

“We have a goal to bring Armenian railways in line with the international standards,” Sargsyan said in his opening remarks at the plenary session of the railway transportation council of CIS member countries.

He also referred to Armenia’s economic development rate, noting the 5% growth mostly conditioned by dynamic trade relations with partners states, with import and expert increasing by 30% and 17% respectively.
