Yerevan Mayor Karen Karapetyan has confirmed his resignation. In an interview with Armnews TV channel, Mr. Karapetyan said he is going to take up another job.

According to Armenian media reports, he was offered a post of deputy chairman of the board of directors at Russian giant Gazprom.
