Arthur Abraham plans comeback in January 2012

Former middleweight champion Arthur Abraham (32-3, 26KOs) is sweating along at the Max-Schmeling-Gym in Germany, BoxingScene.com reports.

After losing three of his last four fights at 168-pounds, Abraham is preparing to return to the middleweight division. Abraham is not dropping straight to 160-pounds. He plans to take a fight in January at 165. He wants to reclaim the middleweight title by the end of 2012.

"A nutritionist can help me. At night there are only salads. In a year I can become the world champion again. In January I plan to start my comeback. Not in the middleweight division, but at 165-pounds. The opponent has not been set, but it should be a good fighter, someone in the top ten rankings. We are in negotiations. One thing is for sure, I will continue boxing for Sauerland and training with Ulli Wegner," Abraham said.
