PM: 2012 state budget envisages transition from stabilization to economic growth

2012 national budget project envisages transition from stabilization to economic growth, Armenian Prime Minister stated.

“Economic growth is the primary goal of the budget program,” Tigran Sargsyan said during the preliminary discussion of the next year’s state budget in the National Assembly.

He noted that endorsement of small and middle businesses, export stimulation, industrial and agricultural development is planned.

According to RA Prime Minister, economic development of the recent months may be characterized as stabilization stage. “The GDP growth totaled 8% for the first 8 months of 2011 implying that 4.6 % economic growth index is quite realistic,” he said.
