Paris is hosting World Weightlifting Championships November 5 through 13.

Armenia’s Izabella Yaylyan (- 53 kg) who performed on the first tournament day, finished 25th having lifted 168 kg.

Kazakhstan’s Zulfiya Chinshanlo won gold in -53kg weight category with a lift of 227 kg.

Male weightlifters Vanik Avetisyan and Samvel Grigoryan (-69 kg) and female European champion Meline Daluzyan (69 kg) will perform on Nov 8, 9 resp.

European champion Hripsime Khurshudyan and Naira Harutyunyan (+75 kg) will perform at women’s championships Nov 10, as well as male weightlifters, European champion, silver winner at World championship Arakel Mirzoyan and World and European champion, Olympic bronze winner Tigran Martirosyan (77 kg).

Nov 13, the last competition day, will see Hayk Hakobyan (105 kg) and Ruben Aleksanyan (+ 105 kg) compete.
