5.5 magnitude earthquake hits eastern Turkey

A 5.5 magnitude earthquake rocked eastern Turkey early Wednesday, November 9.

According to the European Mediterranean Seismological Center, the epicenter was 34 km northwest of Van with a depth of 9.40 km.

On Oct. 23, a 7.2-magnitude quake hit the province of Van, killing 605 people and injuring 4152. 188 people were pulled out alive from the rubble.
