Migrants must follow Russia rules- Dmitry Medvedev

Migrants arriving in Moscow and other Russian regions should know the Russian language, behave appropriately and obey the law, Russian President said.

"Everyone who comes - no matter whether he is a foreign national or our fellow citizen - should follow the existing rules - they have to show up for registration, follow the rules of the cohabitation and integrate into the normal city life if we speak about Moscow," Dmitry Medvedev said.

According to the president, migration is often a "significant supplier of criminal activity." In many ways this is manifested in the so-called enclave of crime, when the migrants from a given region stay apart and do not adapting to the environment of the region of residence.

"Everyone who comes to Moscow from other cities has to adapt to the life there," he stressed.

According to Dmitry Medvedev, migrant workers must learn Russian language, observe the laws and behave appropriately.

"Those, who do not want to do it, must answer for this, and there can be no exceptions. Hiding behind any kind of harassment is unacceptable," said the President, Vestnik Kavkaza reported citing ITAR- TASS.
