Samvel Ter-Sahakyan dominates World Youth Chess Championship

Winning all his games, Armenia’s Samvel Ter-Sahakyan gained 4 points to top the standings of the U18 tournament of the World Youth Chess Championship 2011 in Caldas Novas, Brazil.

In the next round, Ter-Sahakyan will face Saleh Salem of the United Arab Emirates, who has the same number of points.

Another Armenian representative, Robert Aghasaryan is 20th with 3 points.

In U16 age category, Hovhannes Gabuzyan is 10th with 3 points while Karen Grigoryan is 36th with 2.5 points.
