BAKU POLITICAL EXPERTS CALL TO EXPRESS PROTEST AGAINST IRAN COOPERATION WITH ARMENIA
Azerbaijan has to take measures to prevent the enlargement of the Iranian-Armenian cooperation. As written by "525" Baku newspaper referring to expert opinion, Teheran is not interested in the solution of the Karabakh problem, as if it is the case the liberation movement will strengthen in South Azerbaijan. Thus, Iran does not stint of comprehensive assistance to Armenia. At the same time, in the opinion of political scientists, Iran has an ambivalent attitude towards Azerbaijan. On the one hand, within the framework of the Organization of the Islamic Conference Iran has recognized the fact of seizure of Azeri lands, on the other - it maintains close ties with Armenia. Experts consider, the newspaper writes, that without active assistance by Iran Armenia would have not had such a radical and destructive stand. In their opinion, Azerbaijan has to express resolute protest against Iran for helping Armenia. As a preventive measure they suggest that official Baku weaken commercial ties with the southern neighbor.
