January 17-18, 2004 the second international conference on Armenia, titled "Armenia: Challenges of Sustainable Development and Economic Growth," will be held in the World Bank Washington Headquarters. Economists, political and social scientists from Armenia and abroad will participate in the conference organized by the Armenian International Policy Research Group. The topics to be discussed include international trade, Armenian capital markets, financial and fiscal policies, governance, small and medium enterprise development, health and social sector development, as well as issues of Armenia's relations with the diaspora. A number of high-ranking representatives of the US and Armenian governments, the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund are expected to participate in the conference.
