Istanbul to host Turkish-Arab media forum

A Turkish-Arab media forum will bring together around 200 journalists and academics from 22 countries at Istanbul’s Conrad Hotel on Nov. 30 and Dec. 1.

The theme of the forum will be media, new opportunities and possibilities in the axis of change and continuity. Participants are expected to form a Turkish-Arab media platform.

“We aim to hold the forum in various countries every two years,” said Murat Karakaya, director-general of Turkey’s Directorate General of Press and Information.

Almost 200 journalists and academics from Turkey, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Algeria, Djibouti, Morocco, Palestine, Iraq, Qatar, the Comoros, Kuwait, Libya, Lebanon, Egypt, Mauritania, Somalia, Sudan and Syria will participate in the forum, Hurriyet Daily News reported.
