ARMENIA INTERESTED IN RUSSIA'S PARTICIPATION IN IRANIAN-ARMENIAN GAS-MAIN CONSTRUCTION
Armenia is interested in the participation of the Russian party in the project of construction of the Iranian-Armenian gas pipeline, RA Prime Minister Andranik Margarian told IA Regnum. In his words, consultations with the Russian government and Gasprom's administration are being conducted at present. "We hope they will have a positive effect. Anyway, the agreements achieved between the Presidents and governments of the two countries give cause for hope for the positive decision to be taken by the Russian side. We have got encouraging signals from Moscow recently and hope that the coming year will make things clear", - the Prime Minister said. To note, in case of successful realization of the project, Armenia will be supplied with up to 1 milliard cubic meter of gas through the gas-main. It should also be reminded that according to Iranian Ambassador to Armenia Mohammad Farhad Koleini's comment made earlier on the given project, Tehran is ready "to cooperate with the third countries and does not rule out that it can be exercised within the frames of the North-South international transport corridor".
