Saakashvili: Georgia-Armenia border procedures to be further simplified

Georgia stands for further simplification of customs and border procedures at Georgian-Armenian border, Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili said at a joint briefing with the President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan in Tbilisi."Our citizens will take only one check at the border: those leaving Armenia – at the Armenian one, and those leaving Georgia - the Georgian one. It won't be necessary to go out of the car, as it is done at French-Swiss border, and people won't have to wait for hours. We have reached the final point in talks on simplification of border regulations, and our borders will be transparent," Saakashvili said.

Saakashvili noted the same regime operates on the border with Turkey, Trend News reported.
