Armenian armed forces inspection group leaves for Turkey

On November 29, Armenian armed forces inspection group left for Turkey to conduct Declared site inspections under the CFE Treaty.

The inspection team is due to be back on December 2, Armenia’s Defense Ministry’s press service reported.

Treaty on Conventional Armed Forces in Europe (CFE) was concluded n Paris on November 19, 1990 by the following 22 states: the then-16 NATO members: Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Turkey, United Kingdom, the United States and the then-six Warsaw Treaty states: Bulgaria, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Poland, Romania, and the Soviet Union.

The treaty proposed equal limits for the two "groups of states-parties", the North Atlantic Treaty Organization and the Warsaw Pact.
