On December 1, Yerevan hosted a forum on European Neighborhood Policy and European cooperation initiatives in regional security sector.

As the representative of France to Eastern Partnership and BSEC, former Ambassador of France to Armenia, Serge Smessov told journalists, “Armenia has a vast potential for European integration and we’re here to turn the initiative into a reality.”

Dwelling on Armenia-EU visa regime facilitation, Smessov noted that a relevant agreement will be reached on the issue. “In future, the visa regime might be completely lifted to enable visa-free travel to Europe for Armenian citizens. Still, there’s much to be accomplished to reach that point,” the diplomat said.
