So-called intercommunity dialogue unacceptable to Artsakh - David Babayan

The head of the Central Information Department at NKR President's Office ruled out the so-called intercommunity dialogue as unacceptable for Artsakh.

In a conversation with a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter David Babayan commented on the statement of the chief of Azeri presidential administration's foreign relations department Novruz Mannadov, suggesting the refusal of representatives of Artsakh's Armenian community to meet with the so-called Azeri community is aimed to undermine Karabakh settlement talks.

“To Artsakh, the term “NKR's Azeri or Armenian community” is non-existent. Artsakh sees direct negotiations with Azerbaijan as the only way towards the settlement of the conflict,” the official said, noting that the insinuations above may negatively affect the settlement.

“As a multinational state, Azerbaijan would greatly benefit from reconsidering its policy to better protect the rights of its national minorities,” NKR official stressed.
