Armenian and Turkish science workers stand ready to lobby the issue of resuming diplomatic relations in governments of the two states, according to the head of Alternative research center.

As economist Tatul Manaseryan told a press conference on December 20, recently he participated in a regional economic forum in Ankara, where he was the only representative from Armenia.

“Issues of regional development and its impact on Armenia-Turkey possible dialogue on enhancing bilateral ties were in focus of the forum,” he said.

In this context, the expert noted that there are people in Turkey who favor establishment of relations between the two countries.

“Agreement was reached to hold 2012 forum in Armenia,” Mr. Manaseryan said.
