Religious leaders must secure decent future for Caucasus - Pashazade

Religious leaders of the region must spare no effort to secure decent future for Caucasus, said the leader of Caucasian Muslims.

“Unfortunately our region does not enjoy fully established stability so far and spiritual leaders of Caucasus not only witness but also suffer from bloody terrorist attacks,” Sheikh ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade told at Supreme Religious Council of the People of Caucasus on Wednesday, December 21.

According to him, the Council, strictly following its principles, “managed to secure and reinforce the mutual respect and trust among the peoples of Caucasus, including those of Christian and Judaic creed.”

Summarizing the daily session, Pashazade stressed that the religious leaders of the region must continue their efforts for the sake of future generations, which is possible only through dialogue and mutual understanding.
