Israeli MP calls for Armenian Genocide recognition

Today, December 26, Knesset member for Meretz Zahava Gal-On voiced her position regarding the Armenian Genocide recognition before meeting of the Knesset Committee Committee on Education, Culture and Sports, Israeli media report.

“As a daughter of Jews who survived the Holocaust, I definitely know what Genocide denial means,” the politician said, adding that Jewish government has no right to negate the first genocide of the 20th century.

“Armenian Genocide should be recognized, without harming ties with Turkey. However, the example of France gives no reason to count on that,” Gal-On stated.
