The head of the Union of Armenians of Russia Ara Abrahamyan expressed condolences to the family of legendary Soviet intelligence agent Gevork Vartanian, who died at 87 in a Moscow hospital.

“The whole life of this outstanding person was dedicated to serving of his motherland and provision of state security,” the letter said.
