Adoption of a bill penalizing Armenian Genocide denial will weaken France’s position preventing the country from mediating the Karabakh conflict, Senator Ambroise Dupont believes.

“Our task is to promote peace between the two long-term rivals. We wouldn’t want to disregard the urges of many countries calling for peaceful settlement of the issues,” the Senator stressed.
