Petty revenge: Turks may give a virtual slap in Sarkozy’s face

Having realized its failure in relations with France, its attempts to foil the passage of Armenian Genocide bill falling through, Turkey is now resorting to petty means to spite the official Paris.

Following the passage of Genocide bill at French Senate, a game was posted at www.sunoyun.com enabling users to give a “surprise” virtual slap in President Nicolas Sarkozy’s face. However, Turkish courage went only that far, with 7-language game interface lacking the French one.

The game must be an actual reflection of Ankara’s policy, readying a surprise retaliation, while unable to face the facts.

On January 23, the French Senate passed the bill criminalizing the Armenian Genocide denial with 127 votes for and 86 against. To be signed into law within 14 days, the bill will impose a 45,000 euro fine and a year in prison for anyone in France who denies this crime against humanity committed by the Ottoman Empire.
