Sochi meeting turning point in Karabakh settlement - Azeri expert

The Sochi-hosted meeting between Armenian, Russia, and Azeri presidents may become a turning point in Karabakh conflict settlement, according to the Director of the Center for Political Innovations and Technologies.

“Although many experts, including Armenian ones, noted the meeting to be a failure, I believe we are soon to witness an altered negotiation format, as well as specific Karabakh settlement efforts,” Mubariz Ahmedoglu said.

“Dmitry Medvedev’s continuing with the initiative on the threshold of presidential race in Russia proves the official Moscow’s determination to keep up mediation efforts,” SalamNews quoted the Azeri expert as saying.

In conclusion, Ahmedoglu noted the recent presidential meeting in Sochi as largely different from those preceding it.
