Before mid-October a meeting of parliamentarians of Armenia, Georgia and Azerbaijan will be held in Scotland under the aegis of LINKS British non-governmental organization. The meeting will be devoted to issues of conflict settlement in the South Caucasus, specifically, the Nagorno Karabakh and Abkhazian confrontations. As reported by "Arminfo" agency referring to "Black Sea Press," it was stated at a Tbilisi meeting of LINKS representative Denis Samut and member of the British parliament Angus Robertson with vice-speaker of the Georgian parliament Vakhtang Kolbaya. After the meeting A. Robertson told journalists that after Tbilisi they intend to visit Yerevan and Baku to study democratic processes in the South Caucasian countries. Answering the question which problems can be solved by the Parliamentary Assembly of the South Caucasus, the opportunity of creation of which has been discussed for already the third year, A. Robertson noted that the problems should be solved by the countries themselves, "while we aim at promoting dialogue, which will certainly produce an effect."
