Expert deems electoral bribery will dominate elections in Armenia

Armenian political analyst rules out the possibility of gross violations during forthcoming parliamentary race.

“There will be no reoccurrence of election frauds of the 90s such as ballot stuffing and stealing of ballot boxes. There will be only purchase of votes,” Karen Kocharyan told a press conference, citing mayoral elections of northeast town of Hrazdan as a proof.

“Electoral bribery will be the dominant force,” the expert said.

Mr. Kocharyan further forecast corruption to be the key tool of all political forces, including the Armenian National Congress (ANC) opposition bloc.
