A 4.5-magnitude earthquake shook Turkey’s eastern province of Van today, Feb 17.
The earthquake struck at 11:32a.m., epicenter in Van’s Ağartı district. No casualties were reported, according to Doğan News Agency.
The 2011 Van earthquake was a destructive magnitude 7.1 Mw quake that hit eastern Turkey near the city of Van on October 23, 2011. It occurred at a shallow depth of 20 km, causing heavy shaking across much of eastern Turkey and was felt across neighboring parts of the South Caucasus and Levant.
