Armenian students lay flowers at eternal flame

Russian-Armenian (Slavonic) University students visited the Victory Park and laid flowers at the Monument to the Unknown Soldier.

“It’s a great honor for us to lay flowers at the eternal flame,” head of the university’s student council Arman Safaryan said.

“Certainly, after Armenia's independence proclamation, January 28 has been celebrated as the Armed Forces Day. However, we would like to follow the tradition and congratulate all men on February 23,” Alumni Association President of the Slavonic University said.

Armenian armed forces general staff chief, colonel general Yuri Khachaturov, Ambassador of Russia in Armenia Vyacheslav Kovalenko, Artsakh Defense Minister Movses Hakobyan and Great Patriotic War veterans attended the event.
