GEORGIA TO INCREASE VOLUME OF ELECTRICITY BOUGHT FROM ARMENIA
Georgian minister of energy Mamuka Nikolaishvili and director general of Telasi Georgian energy distribution company Dangiras Mikalajunas arrived in Yerevan today to discuss issues referring to the increase of the volume of electric power supplies from Armenia to Georgia. It was reported by a representative of the ministry of energy of Armenia, who at that ruled out the opportunity for the Natural Monopolies Regulatory Commission of Armenia to review the new tariffs lately fixed for the electric energy being exported. It should be reminded that the Commission has passed a decision to increase the tariff for the service of conveying the energy exported and the tariff for dispatcher services provided to the energy market 6 and 1.08 times respectively beginning on January 21.
