"Skyfall" James Bond flick to receive IMAX treatment

"Skyfall" is set to be the first James Bond movie ever to be released in IMAX theaters. IMAX Corporation, EON Production, MGM Studios and Sony Pictures announced that the 23rd 007 film will receive an IMAX treatment simultaneously with the film's international release on October 26 and domestic release on November 9, Aceshowbiz reported.

Sony Pictures president of worldwide marketing and distribution, Rory Bruer, promised that the highly anticipated spy film will look better in IMAX screen. He gushed, " “Skyfall” will be the cool, must-see event release of the fall, and releasing the film in IMAX only reinforces that."

"Skyfall" will bring back Daniel Craig as the iconic flamboyant British agent, and Judi Dench as his superior M. In the upcoming movie, Bond's loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost. The film also stars franchise newcomers Ralph Fiennes, Javier Bardem and Naomie Harris. Providing the screenplay are Neal Purvis along with Robert Wade and John Logan.
