EU to increase funding for Eastern Partnership member-states

Euro zone crisis won’t affect funding of programs and projects with member-countries, according to European Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighborhood Policy.

Štefan Füle noted that the European Union plans to increase funding for the Eastern Partnership member-states by 130 mln euro in 2012-2013.

The Eastern Partnership (EaP) is a project, initiated by the European Union. It is meant to complement the Northern Dimension and the Union for the Mediterranean by providing an institutionalized forum for discussing visa agreements, free trade deals and strategic partnership agreements with the EU's eastern neighbors.
