On March 7, Mihran Jaburyan (55kg) scored a 4:1 win over Galib Aliyev (Azerbaijan) in 1/8 final of European Championships ongoing in Belgrade, to make it to the next round.

In the 1/4 final, Jaburyan will clash with Andrei Komar (Belarus).

Another Armenian freestyle wrestler Arthur Arakelyan (60 kg) also gained a 4:0 win over Krzysztof Bienkowski (Poland) in 1/16 final of the Championships.

David Safaryan (66 kg) won bronze on the first championships day among Armenian freestyle wrestlers.
