EBD: investment climate improves in Armenia

The Eurasian Development Bank positively assesses tendencies related to improvement of Armenia's investment climate.

“I see that a large number of international deals are signed with involvement of Armenian companies. Judging by this, I believe the investment climate indeed improves,” deputy chairman of Eurasian Development Bank, Dmitry Zhurba said at a press conference on March 12 in Yerevan.

Commenting upon the situation in the world economy in general, the EDB representative said he does not see any stabilization so far.

At the same time, activities and policy of EDB largely depend on the economic situation in EDB member-states. “If, like many other financial institutions, we appear in a situation when we can no longer attract financial resources of investors to place them in member states’ economies, we will just address our major investors asking them to increase the capital several times,” Zhurba said.
