Issues related to the situation in Armenia, Georgia and Azerbaijan were not put on the agenda of spring session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), according to the session agenda available on the website.

PACE vice presidents will be elected during the session, reports on freedom of speech and Internet information, situation of IDPs in the North Caucasus region, gender equality, women’s status in Southern neighborhood of the Council of Europe, effective management of ethics in sport, the necessity to struggle against “arranged matches,” as well as pension reduction amid the economic and financial crisis will be discussed. Outcomes of PACE experts’ observations at Russian presidential elections on March 4 will also be on discussion agenda in Strasburg on April 23-27.

PACE, authorized to discuss any issues within the competence of the Council of Europe, holds sessions four times a year, during the last week of January, April, June and September, as a rule.
