In his speech during the 6th congress of the Prosperous Armenia party former Foreign Minister of Armenia Vartan Oskanian stressed the importance of the forthcoming parliamentary elections.

“These are not simply elections, but elections of future Armenia,” he said.

Mr. Oskanian underlined the willingness of Prosperous Armenia to assume great responsibility for building the future country.

He further attached special importance to the emigration problem and the Nagorno Karabakh issue. He said that according to RA National Statistical Service, Armenia’s population has declined from 3 mln to 2.8 mln people, and the figure may cross the threshold of 2.5 million. In this context, he noted having no faith in future and absence of ability to earn their daily bread as the main reasons of emigration.

Former FM underlined the political will for creation of equal rights and opportunities.
