Majority of issues existing in Javakhk will be settled only through self-government, coordinator of Samtskhe-Javakhk council of Armenian NGOs said.

Artak Gabrielyan cited the example of a number of European states, particularly Switzerland, where the rights of ethnic and linguistic minorities are protected, urging Georgia to follow their suit.

According to the official, Europe must force Georgia into protecting the rights of the national minorities, including those of Armenians, with gaining self-government to become the guarantor and the basis of rights of Armenians residing in Samtskhe-Javakhk.
