ISTANBUL OFFICE OF GENERAL PROSECUTOR TO CONCERN WITH TURKISH NATIONALISTS, WHO THREATENED ARMENIAN NEWSPAPER STAFF
Turkish lawyers called to initiate a criminal case against Turkish nationalists, who threatened the staff of Agos, Armenian weekly published in Istanbul. As reported by Armenpress citing the Kurdish newspaper in Turkey, a number of influential Turkish officials sent in a petition to one of the Istanbul prosecution offices. According to the report, a grouping, which consisted of 8 people, introducing themselves as members of the Federation for Struggle against Groundless Statements on the Armenian Genocide, organized a meeting at the editorial office of Agos. After performing the national anthem of Turkey, they put a wreath at the editorial office.
