Protest Action against Destruction of Armenian Khachkars Held in Berlin

PanARMENIAN.Net - A protest action was organized in front of the Azeri Embassy in Berlin against barbarism of Azeris at Old Julfa ancient cemetery. The action was organized by members of the Genocide Acknowledgement Committee of Germany Zhirayr Kocharian and Tessa Hoffman, as well as member of the National Council of Nakhichevan Armenians Rafael Hambartsumyan. The rally participants, among which were Greeks, Kurds, Italians, as well as Turks, carried transparencies that read «Azeri slaughter of Armenian culture.» They disseminated leaflets to passers-by, as well as near the Open University of Berlin and the Berlin church, reported the European Armenian Federation. The Committee also organized a rally of Armenian students in Cologne, in which representatives of other Armenian community unions of Germany also took part.
