Some 100 Turks participating in anti-Kurdish rally detained in Brussels

PanARMENIAN.Net - Last night some 100 Turks were detained during an unauthorized anti-Kurdish rally in Brussels.

About 800 Turkish young men crashed and burned cars and garbage bins, destroyed bus stations. Many of them were armed with iron sticks.

"They organized a rally after collisions between Turkish military and Kurdish rebels at the Iraqi border. They attempt to burden Belgium with Turkish problems," said a representative of the city administration.

A similar accident took place after passage of the Armenian Genocide Resolution by the U.S. House Foreign Affairs Committee, FRE/RL reports.
