London to host Armen Eloyan's exhibition on September 4August 26, 2009 - 22:05 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - On September 4, Timothy Taylor Gallery in London will open the exhibition of painter Armen Eloyan. Depicting cartoonish energy and narrative humour, the new body of artist's work focuses on a series of Pinocchio figures fashioned from logs, sausages, screws and other odds and ends. Eloyan's Pinocchios are often alone and trapped in their own little worlds; horrific in their imbecility, they echo Goya's Caprices or Guston's closed and tragic world. Eloyan was born in Armenia in 1966. He received his artistic education is Amsterdam. Currently the artist lives in Zurich. His recent exhibitions were held in London, Paris, Athens and Shanghai.
