The Parliament of Europe heard the report of the Swede parliamentarian Per Garton regarding Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia, following which the resolution ''EU Policy concerning the Southern Caucasus'' was adopted. The document which will define the further strategy of the European Union in the region supposes the involvement of the three Southern Caucasus countries in the ''Enlarged Europe - New Neighbors'' program. In case if it is approved, Armenia gains a status allowing counting on the future membership in the EU. Moreover, the participation in the program allows enjoying some right which only the full members have now. This concerns particularly the freedom of movement of people, goods, services and capitals.
