Expert: Armenian economy needs new national strategy

PanARMENIAN.Net - There is notable progress in Armenian economy compared with 2010, according to the head of Alternative research center, economist Tatul Manaseryan.

“Armenian economy is in need of a new national development strategy,” Mr. Manaseryan said, favoring development of energy field even during crisis years.

The economist further hailed monetary policy of the Central Bank of Armenia due to which inflation rate subsided and is expected to reach 4% based on 2011 outcomes.

Dwelling on activity of Armenian Finance Ministry, Mr. Manaseryan assessed it as more objective resulting in drafting a more realistic state budget.

The expert also noted certain progress in agriculture, with construction industry yielding the same results as last year.
