ARMENIAN AUTHORITIES NOT TO HINDER OPPOSITION FROM EXPRESSING OPINION UNLESS IT BLOCKS AVENUES AND IMPEDES WORK OF STATE INSTITUTIONS

PanARMENIAN.Net - If the opposition rally participants in Yerevan do not block avenues, no one will hinder them from expressing their viewpoint, Armenian President Robert Kocharian told in his interview to Izvestiya Russian newspaper. In his words, authorities did not ban the opposition rallies and protest actions at the Theatre Square. "But if the opposition tries to attract attention by blocking the avenues and impeding the work of the state institutions, police will do its duty and the President will act in accordance with the Constitution, that is will secure normal functioning of the bodies."
