IF NEEDED KARABAKH READY TO CONTRIBUTE TO IRAQI REFUGEES IRRESPECTIVE OF NATIONALITY AND CONFESSION

PanARMENIAN.Net - Nagorno Karabakh has not received any requests on accommodating Armenian refugees from Iraq. As reported by "Mediamax" agency, chief of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic department of migration and refugee affairs Serge Amirkhanian said when commenting on Azeri media reports that Armenia intended to settle Armenian refugees from Iraq in Nagorno Karabakh. At the same time, if resulting from the Iraqi war refugees are accumulated at the Nagorno Karabakh frontier and they address a request to provide shelter, being guided by the Geneva convention, the Karabakh party will do its best to contribute to them, Serge Amirkhanian noted. It will be done regardless of their nationality and religious affiliation, S. Amirkhanian emphasized.
