Social sector to be included in Heritage list during city council polls

PanARMENIAN.Net - Heritage party’s attempts to form a bigger alliance ahead of Yerevan City Council polls failed, party leader said. Raffi Hovannisian, who went on hunger strike on March 10, said both politicians and representatives of the social sector will be included in the party’s list.

“Different parties pursue different goals. The forces refusing to run in the elections before have now reconsidered their decision,” Mr Hovannisian said.

Dwelling on the signature campaign launched in Yerevan’s Liberty Square, he said already 10 thous. people joined the initiative.

Heritage leader further noted the campaign as a civil initiative to dismiss the linkage between the rigged elections and the public vote.
