TURKISH MILITARY ALARMED AT ISLAMISTS TAKING POWER

PanARMENIAN.Net - The leadership of the Turkish armed forces, which has in its time removed Islamists from power, is alarmed at the imposing victory of "moderate" Islamist forces at the elections. As reported by "De Facto" agency referring to "CNA," chief of general staff of Turkish armed forces general Hilmi Ozkok has urgently left for Washington to hold consultations concerning it. During the visit to last a whole week the Turkish general will meet with his American counterpart Richard Meyers, US Vice President Dick Cheney, presidential advisor on national security issues Condoleezza Rice, defense minister Doland Rumsfeld, his deputy Pol Wolfowitz and State Secretary Colin Powell.
