ISSUES CONCERNING ARMENIAN CHURCHES SOLVING POSITIVELY IN UKRAINE

PanARMENIAN.Net - All issues connected with Armenian churches are being solved positively in Ukraine. Ukrainian President Leonid Kuchma said it at the meeting with Catholicos of all Armenians Garegin II. In particular, the President brought the example of fully returning Armenian church building in Lvov to the Armenian Patriarchate, as well as giving a land lot for building a new Armenian church in Kiev. "We perceive the role of church in developing the spiritual life of the country and consider that the Armenian Apostolic Church contributes to the state for the sake of developing the country and the people," - L.Kuchma said. In his turn Catholicos of all Armenians Garegin II expressed gratitude to the Ukrainian President for the attitude towards the representatives of the Armenian community, the evidence of which is the presence of a deputy from the Armenian community in the Ukrainian parliament.
