RA general staff: no incidents at Armenian-Azeri border

PanARMENIAN.Net - "The Azeri army is conducting staff and command exercise at the Nagorno Karabakh border, causing some tension at the frontline," RA armed forces general staff chief, colonel general Seyran Ohanyan told a news conference in Yerevan.

"The Armenian army is in full control of the situation. We know that Azerbaijan is conducting an exercise and our units are on alert, securing our borders," he said, adding that no incident has been fixed at the border recently.

Yerevan expects the Russian peacekeepers to ensure the withdrawal of Azerbaijani troops that have invaded Karabakh.
The Security Council of Armenia drew the attention of Russia and the CSTO on Azerbaijan's continuous aggression.
Karapetyan said Armenia was expecting Zas in May, when the situation in the region got quite tense, but no such trip happened back then.
The Armenian Foreign Ministry condemned Azerbaijan's actions which it said undermines regional peace and security.
