Number of active Covid-19 cases in Armenia down by 24.5% in a month

PanARMENIAN.Net - The number of active coronavirus cases in Armenia has dropped by 24.5% in a month, down from 11,000 on July 1 to around 8300 on July 31, data from the Center for Disease Control reveals.

The biggest number of patients with Covid-19 was reported on July 4, with 11,824 active cases receiving treatment or being monitored by doctors.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Health Minister Arsen Torosyan said earlier that the country is beginning to recover from the crisis, but urged the nation to continue following the anti-epidemic rules.

The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Armenia grew by 291 to reach 38841 on Saturday, August 1 morning. So far, 29,557 people have recovered, 749 have died from the coronavirus in the country, while 228 others carrying the virus have died from other causes.
